I am a native of beautiful Innsbruck, Austria. I always liked to travel through Europe and learn new languages, but when the big “Wanderlust” came over me I moved to San Diego, CA as an exchange student. I liked it there so much, that I accepted the offer to stay as a live-in Nanny for a wonderful host family, where I met my husband 17 years ago. After living in different places we choose to live and raise our 2 children in Vancouver, WA, since it reminded me most of the area where I grew up.

I have been an educator for the Evergreen School District for the last 5 years and I love to see each and every one of my students succeed to their own full potential. I also have a lot of experience with students who are requiring additional assistance outside the regular classroom. To capture my student’s interest in learning a foreign language I try to provide a fun and interesting curriculum. It is important to me, to identify each student’s individualism and accommodate different learning styles, maximizing every child’s comprehension in this beautiful language.

I love being a teacher at the German Saturday School of Portland. It is great to have the opportunity not only being able to teach my native language, songs and stories to children, but also to introduce them to the many different and fun customs of our culture.
